Has anyone seen Olive?

Meet Your Podcaster

Hello!  I’m Jennifer Passariello, host of Circa Sunday Night.  I’m just thrilled–thrilled!–that of all the awesome podcasts in the world, you’ve chosen mine to keep you company on Sunday Nights!  What an honor!

I know this will shock you, but I’m not a professional podcaster (she says with a smile).  In real life I manage a global training department for a travel technology company.  I’ve been in the training and development field for…well, let’s just say a looooong time.  My passion within that field is instructional design.  I’ve also been an adjunct instructor at a local college, a consultant, a high school English teacher, a bank teller, a sales associate, and a bunch of other stuff.

I have two defining qualities:  First, I’m a very prayerful person.  I rarely make a move without praying about it, and I complain to God on a daily basis about a variety of things (He probably wishes I was a little less prayerful.)  Anyway, my very deep faith informs all of my decisions, including those pertaining to Circa 19xx Land and the Circa Sunday Night podcast.

Second, I am an extreme introvert.  I’ve held “extroverted” jobs all my life (how I’ve managed to do that, I’ll never know) and I have a wonderful small circle of friends that are extremely important to me.  But give me a quiet corner and a good book to read, and that’s really all I need to be happy.  I am very lucky, indeed.

My sidekick is Olive, the sweetest little dog in the world.  She likes to take walks, bark at stuff no one can see but her, and go for rides in the car to McDonald’s.  Turn-offs include baths (actually grooming of any kind), tin foil, and her vet, Dr. Cupp.

I enjoy reading, writing, road trips, antiquing (naturally), making jewelry (when I’m in the mood), all things graphic design and experience design, and spending time with my six nieces and nephews.  Oh, and Disney World.  I’m a little bit of a fanatic about Disney World.  I go there at least once a year–and when I’m not there, I’m wishing I was!

I live in Kansas City, Missouri, which, in my opinion, is the finest city in the world.
