This is one of my favorite cards, primarily because the colors in this scene are beautiful. What I find so intriguing about these trade cards is that what they are advertising often never has anything to do with the images on them. Notice that this couple isn’t even wearing shoes! Perhaps they are on their way to Burt’s to pick up a pair. No city is listed on this card; No telling where “Eighth Street” is.
