Text:  (Back)  “Minster Lovell is a quaint and charming little village on the banks of the Windrush. Prominent among the attractions of the place are the ruins of an old Benedictine priory founded here early in the 13th century, and on the river banks, also forming an attractive spot for the artist, are the remains of an ancient mansion, in the vaults of which, in 1708, was discovered the skeleton of Lord Lovell sitting at a table.”

What????  His skeleton was seated at a table?  Yikes.  Of all my old “place” cards, this one is most intriguing because of the backstory above.  This is a painting, but the place is real.
