Text:  (Front)  “Picturesque Dorset, The Roman Bridge”  (Back)  “Preston is a pretty little village with some charming thatched cottages, situated about three miles from Weymouth on the main road to Warcham. Many evidences of its antiquety are found in the locality, Roman pottery having been discovered on several occasions in the churchyard, and there is also a one-arched bridge which some authorities consider to be of Roman origin.”
Message:  “”Now we are in England. Distance [indesipherable] in miles, not kilometers. We went from 20 to 30 miles an hour, and a few times 36. Thatched roofs irregular along edge. [Indecipherable] light in windows. Chimneys on all, all low, door, right on street level, and each buried in a garden (?)”
