Subject:  Birds chirping a merry little song
Type:  Greeting card
Postmark:  Indecipherable (maybe 1912?)
Text:  “Chirping a merry little song Intended for to cheer, And offer you a happy thought When your thought may be drear.”
Message:  “Dear Friend:  Have been intending to write for some time, but busy as Audrey was working out. How are you.  Anyway I wish you might come down.  Anna Harlow.”

This is a perfect card for a Monday morning.  I’m not sure what a “drear” thought is, but if it means “dreary,” that sounds like Monday, all right.
