)Subject: A road in in Asheville, North Carolina
Type: Greeting card
Postmark: Undated
When I vacationed at the Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina, I visited several antique shops in the area. At each one I looked for postcards of the area. I found none. (Of course, people don’t generally mail postcards from their area to their area, but I couldn’t help checking). Strangely enough, I found this postcard three weeks later in my own home state of Missouri. (And it was marked down to 75 cents! This is the cheapest card in my entire collection!) This is a linen card, possibly from the 1930s. Unfortunately, these linen cards don’t scan well. This looks much better in person.
